
Homemade Cocktail Sauce
A tangy, creamy seafood dipping sauce that comes together in minutes with pantry staples like mayo, ketchup, and horseradish cream.
Ingredients
- 160 g (2/3 cup) whole-egg mayonnaise
- 60 g (1/4 cup) ketchup
- 1 tbsp horseradish cream
- 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
- 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- Dash of Tabasco (optional)
- Sea salt flakes, to taste
Method
- Combine the mayonnaise, ketchup, horseradish cream, lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, and Tabasco in a bowl. Stir until smooth.
- Taste and adjust the seasoning with salt or extra Tabasco as needed.
- Serve straight away or refrigerate until ready to use.
Tips
- Dijon mustard makes a good milder substitute for the horseradish cream.
- Can be prepared up to 3 days ahead and stored in an airtight container in the fridge.
- Give it a good stir before serving if made in advance.
