
Air Fryer Beef and Bacon Burger

Juicy seasoned beef patties topped with crispy bacon and melted gouda cheese, all cooked in the air fryer for a healthier take on the classic burger.
Ingredients
- 500 g regular minced beef
- 100 g breadcrumbs
- 1 egg
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tbsp ketchup
- 1 tsp sea salt flakes
- 4 middle slices of bacon
- Olive oil spray
- 4 slices gouda cheese
- 4 brioche buns
- 1 tomato, sliced
- 1/2 onion, sliced
- 60 g canned beetroot
- 60 g sliced gherkins
- 60 g mayonnaise
- 60 g ketchup
- 60 g yellow mustard
Method
- Preheat the air fryer to 180C (350F).
- Combine the beef, breadcrumbs, egg, Worcestershire sauce, ketchup, and salt in a bowl. Shape into four patties.
- Cook the bacon in the air fryer for 6-8 minutes until crisp, then set aside.
- Spray the patties with oil and air fry for 8-10 minutes.
- Top each patty with a slice of gouda and a piece of bacon, then cook for 1 more minute to melt the cheese.
- Toast the brioche buns in the air fryer for 2 minutes.
- Assemble the burgers with tomato, onion, beetroot, pickles, and your choice of sauces.
Tips
- Uncooked patties can be refrigerated for up to 3 days or frozen for 2 months.
- Cooked patties keep in the fridge for 3 days and reheat well in the microwave.
- Customise with your favourite toppings and condiments.
